Denial

When the truths
of the state of the world
the environment
the illness
was too much to take in

Denial
Was the go to place
For so many

As I step by step
Unlearn
And let go of limiting beliefs
I get younger and younger and younger

Instead of being himself
He was being the idea of being cool
His true self
Was hiding behind his coolness

He lied to save his life
Was he a bad person?

And in the end
Goodness prevailed
And won over all
Illusions
Games
Judgements
And lies

It stod tall
Strong
And as the only one

They were jealous
of the man that he was
A man they thought
they never could be
